Woldumar

I've spent a fair bit of time during the past six years exploring Fenner Nature Center, which is tucked into a small area between a graveyard, residential areas, and swampland owned by MSU.

But I have always heard great things about and seen very nice photos of Woldumar Nature Center, which is at the western edge of town.

This week I finally made time to drop by for a quick hike before teaching English.

I saw only one other person, briefly, during a half hour walk through deciduous woods, a pine forest, along the Grand River, by wetlands, and through a lovely rolling meadow.

As I'm trying to fit more exercise into my life, I believe I will make a Monday afternoon hike at Woldumar part of my normal routine as long as it's not raining.
