Three Squirrely Kids

On Thanksgiving, my father came up with a great idea that kept the chaos level down. He made the front bedroom the toy room and the rest of the condo a "toy-free zone." This kept the three squirrely kids and the noise level they work hard to create largely corralled. They managed to occupy themselves nearly all day with no help from any adults. It was awesome.

And they managed to create some good memories for when they grow up.

Pinecone Owl Family . . . and a Word of Thanks

Does this resemble your family at all?

The boy helped me stretch out cotton balls and glue eyes and beaks. We had a grand time.

Today I give thanks to God for all His good gifts to me: my husband, my son, my job, my home, my parents and sister and her family, my in-laws and sister-in-law and her family, my talents, my friends, my work at the zoo (with real owls among other creatures), my daily bread.

And I'm thankful for you. Thanks for continuing to read my ramblings!
