1/2 + 1/2 = 1  Right?

So why doesn't one half-wit dog plus a second half-wit dog equal out to one moderately intelligent dog?

This weekend I'm giving myself a diversion from hand quilting and making one of these. I don't know if tea cozies are functional, but I've been wanting to try one for a while. The colors I've chosen match the sunroom. I hoping someday I will be able to have tea in there again. Once I finish the quilt I'm avoiding by making this tea cozy, that is!
